I can’t believe how much the Manawatu Gorge track has changed since I last walked it! Instead of being rough and muddy its now an even path that takes you through an amazing piece of native bush. This track would have to be one of the best short walks near Palmerston North.
Keep an eye out for the wildlife as the track passes by some spectacular old trees and native birds are plentiful particularly when you get into the track a bit.
