The Tawharanui Penisula is a great combination of beaches, farmland, wetland and native bush. The beaches are perfect for surfing or diving and the tracks are great for bush walks or running.
Some of the birds regularly encountered include North Island Robins, Wood Pigeons, Parakeets and fantails.
